2nd Annual Jonathan Bankhead Smash Cancer Memorial Tournament

Whetstone Perkins & Fulda are dedicated to helping traumatic injury and accident victims across Columbia and throughout South Carolina recover for their car accident, truck accident, and serious injury claims.

Our team is excited to be sponsoring the 2nd Annual Jonathan Bankhead SMASH CANCER Memorial Tournament on May 13th through May 15th. This tennis tournament was started in 2021 in memory of Jonathan Bankhead, a beloved community member who lost his 15-month battle against glioblastoma in January 2020. This tournament now serves as a fundraiser for SCOA Cares Foundation. This foundation provides financial assistance to cancer patients receiving treatment at SCOA. Learn more about our firm’s ongoing community involvement and the organizations and initiatives we support throughout South Carolina.

Each year, the tournament recognizes someone from the community who has battled cancer. This year, the tournament will honor Bill Besley, a former attorney and Columbia native who died in 2018 after a four-year battle with lung cancer. Bill was also an accomplished college tennis player and was very active in serving his community throughout his life. Our firm is honored to have the opportunity to help remember Bill, Jonathan, and other community members who have battled cancer. To learn more about this event and how you can register, please visit the tournament page for more information.

Let’s Get Started

During your free consultation, we encourage you to ask the questions you have on your mind, so that you can decide whether to move forward with a case represented by our experienced attorneys. Examples of questions you may want to ask include:

  • Do you think I have a case?
  • How much compensation do you think I might be able to recover?
  • How long do you think it will take to resolve my case?
  • What will be required of me during the process?
  • Do you think my case will go to trial?

Because of our attorneys’ years of experience in the courtroom, we can pursue all avenues of recovering compensation. We will not rest until we get the best possible results for you.
